The Leathers We Work
Our wallets and watch bands are cut from English Bridle tanned by Wickett & Craig of Pennsylvania — America's harness-leather tannery, at work since 1867. Bridle leather is full-grain and vegetable-tanned, hot-stuffed with waxes and tallows so it breaks in instead of wearing out.
Many of our smaller goods are cut from oil tan leather — a rugged, pull-up hide that shrugs off scuffs and builds character fast — and from Pergamena leather, vegetable-tanned by a 15-generation family tannery in New York using environmentally friendly dyes. Every hide we use develops a patina that makes the piece yours.
From a Workshop, Not a Warehouse
Every piece here is cut, stitched, and finished by hand in small batches by the same team that binds our iPad cases. Many can be monogrammed — initials pressed into leather, the way bookbinders stamped an owner's name into a cover. Thank you for supporting American manufacturing and the craft skills that risk going extinct in a container-shipment world.
