Care
Your DODOcase is a fine piece of craftsmanship and should last you a long time given proper care. A good rule of thumb is that you should treat your DODOcase like you treat your iPad or Kindle. Give your DODOcase a little love and it will love you right back. Here is how your DODO likes to be treated…
NO SUNBURNS OR OVERHEATING:
Avoid leaving your case in direct sunlight or overheated environments (such as car dashboards, sunny window sills, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, etc. ). If the bamboo is left in direct sunlight the natural moisture in the wood will escape and this may cause unwanted warping or cracking.
NO ROUGH HOUSING:
Mom was right...don’t throw your DODOcase around. It isn’t a frisbie!
PROPER TECHNIQUE:
Take care to use the right technique when inserting and removing your iPad or Kindle. Watch our video on how to do this.
CLEANING:
To clean your DODOcase you may wipe down the cover and inside material with a damp cloth. However, the paper “book plate” label inside the cover is NOT water resistant so please be careful when cleaning around it. The natural wood tray can be cleaned by rubbing with a very fine grade sand paper, clean pencil eraser or a cloth with a little rubbing alcohol. This will clean the tray right up and keep your DODO very happy.
What your DODOcase is NOT.
Contrary to some awe-inspiring stories, your DODOcase is NOT designed as an impact case. If you drop your DODOcase on a hard surface, there is a chance that both your case and iPad or Kindle could be damaged.
The DODOcase is NOT a mass produced plastic product -- it's made by hand with care from wood and fabric. These materials are great but require a little bit more care to keep them looking clean.
